Peanut Butter and Hemp Cookies - NZ Hemp

Peanut Butter and Hemp Cookies

by 4dm1n
hemp cookies

Made with just 6 ingredients, this hemp cookies recipe makes a great tasting protein-packed snack.

Hemp seeds are a superfood high in amino acids, packed with omega-3 fatty acids and containing no soy, cholesterol, gluten, dairy or saturated fats.

From the Cannabis Sativa plant, hemp seed contains no THC, so there is no psychotropic (‘high’) effect.

For your cookies, of course you do have the option to replace the hemp seed with ‘other’ alternatives to gain the ‘effect’ you desire.

Ingredients
Peanut Butter        –           2/3 cup
Sugar                        –           1/3 cup
Hemp Seed             –           1/3 cup
Rolled Oats              –           2/3 cup
Vanilla Extract        –           1 tsp
Cinnamon                –           1 tsp
Chocolate Chips    –           as many as you require (if desired)

Instructions
1. Mix all the above ingredients into a large mixing bowl.
2. Once fully mixed, scoop individual ‘cookie-sized’ portions onto baking paper. Flatten with a fork.
3. Bake at 190 degrees celsius (375 degrees F) for 9-10 minutes.
4. Allow to cool for 5 mins before removing from baking sheet.

Can substitute peanut butter for another other nut if required.

For healthier additions you can try adding chia or other superfood seeds.

Enjoy!
